Optix Digital Pictures launches new interactive and cross-media division
Over the course of 15 years, Optix Digital Pictures has developed into a leading source for visual effects, animation, motion graphic design, video and audio post services, both in Toronto and globally through our international offices in Hamburg, Berlin and Dubai. As the industry has evolved and new technology and production needs have emerged, Optix has responded with solutions for our clients through our team of talented professionals and excellent facilities.
Optix Interactive will provide clients with access to a full suite of interactive and transmedia services, from web and mobile design to social media strategy, as well as game and app development. Now, more than ever, creative ideas need to span any number of digital platforms to reach and connect with audiences in innovative and engaging ways. Optix Interactive will expand our service portfolio to respond to the rapid demand for cross-platform, social media, gaming and interactive experiences.
To support our growth into this new territory, Optix Interactive has engaged Ben McEvoy as Head of Interactive. With over 10 years of experience as an accomplished producer, designer, developer and entrepreneur, Ben brings a first-hand passion for cross-media and interactive entertainment development through his involvement in a wide variety of projects both in Canada and internationally. As an interactive and animation producer, Ben has produced interactive and animation projects for a number of clients in a variety of fields including CTV/Bell Media and Discovery Channel (Daily Planet), History Channel and Breakthrough Entertainment (Greatest Tank Battles), ING Direct Canada, Kraft Foods Canada and Evergreen Canada, as well as special projects for Sheridan College, Seneca College, Centennial College in association with partners such as Computer Animation Studios Ontario, Starz Animation, Pipeline Studios, Bedlam Games and the National Film Board of Canada.
With the explosion in interactive, online and social media, there exists an incredible opportunity to help our clients expand storytelling and communication into the interactive realm in ways that have yet to be fully explored. Over the course of the coming months, Optix Interactive will look to capitalize on these opportunities, for both our current and future clients, with a focus on developing interactive, transmedia solutions and services for our clients in entertainment and branded properties.
